“How do you do it?”

“Does it work?”

“Well, it’s not like people with disabilities have sex, so who cares!”

Yikes! These common tropes are often used to discuss people with disabilities. Not only are these statements offensive, but they are inaccurately littered with undertones of ableism. In an attempt to shine a light on the overlooked areas in sex education this discussion will tackle what sex and sex education look like for people with disabilities and how to navigate interabled relationships.

Please join Debbie, Renee, and Tiffany to learn how to talk to children and adult partners with disabilities about sex education. How to advocate for oneself regarding their sexploration, self-pleasure, and sexual rights. Using a consent centric approach to sexual liberation we hope to provide a pathway to getting uncomfortable conversations started through spaces and services rooted in our values: sexual justice; consent; access to medically accurate information; empowerment; pleasure; respect; safe spaces; competence in pride acceptance for diversity of bodies and experiences; and confidentiality.
